
Gale was a winner of a modeling contest in Perth aged 18 years old. After several years of modeling, Gale was noticed when in 1999 was cast as a model in a string of advertisements for an Italian Telecommunications company, Omnitel (now Vodafone Italy) and she was featured in the commercials of the company from 1999 until. In 2003 it was announced that the Australian Tourist Commission retained her as the 'face of Australia in Italy.' Gale was featured on the covers of Australian Marie Claire, Grazia, Gioia, Italian and Australian GQ, Italian Maxim, Australian InStyle and featured in the editorial pages of Australian Cosmopolitan and Vogue Italia. Gale has collaborated with Italian designers like Gianfranco Fere, Genny and Gai Mattiolo as well as at the fashion shows of Mariella Burani, Angelo Marani, and Milan Fashion Week. Gale has also been a big fan of a variety of Australian fashion designers, including Colette Dinnigan, Kirrily Johnston Lisa Ho, Willow and Alex Perry. She also served as fashion analyst for Australia's television awards in the year 2006 (the Logies). Gale quit modeling runways in January 2008 following 15 years. Her last runway at the David Jones Winter Collection Launch in Sydney a few weeks later. Her last outfit was the Wonder Woman outfit she was to wear for the recently released film Justice League of America. Gale made a return to the runway in March of 2011 and finished Alex Perry's Melbourne Fashion Festival 2011. Gale also celebrated her 10th anniversary with David Jones in August 2011 The longest contract in fashion that an Australian has ever had. Gale was appointed ambassador of L'Oreal Paris the same month. She teamed up with Beyonce Jennifer Lopez Gwen Stefani. Gale participated in an L'Oreal shampoo commercial in Australia, New Zealand and Italy.
